New working time model successfully implemented at Rustler

Since the beginning of this year, the new working time model at Rustler has been lived and implemented in the entire property management department. In concrete terms, this means that employees’ working hours have now been reduced to 30 hours per week with full pay.

This groundbreaking step was, of course, well prepared, as Rustler reports. “An entire property management department has been working according to the new working time model since the beginning of 2023. This test operation has shown that continuity and stability in the team as well as employee satisfaction have increased significantly and that availability for customers has not been affected,” explains Martin Troger, Managing Director of Rustler Property Management. At the same time, all processes were optimized for a year, structures were scrutinized, workflows were streamlined and unnecessary “time wasters” were reduced.

According to Rustler, the aim of retaining existing managers and property management teams in the company has also had an impact on the labor market. “Just a few weeks after announcing our new working time model, we were pleased to welcome back numerous former employees who would like to work for our company again in the future, while the number of quality applications also increased significantly,” explains Co-Managing Director Roman Urban.

With around 180 employees, our property management company is one of the leading real estate service providers in Austria, where it has been active for almost 90 years, and was recently recertified as a “Great Place to Work”.
